Here’s a video that explains how to use the custom branding irons to burn your brand on woodworking projects. The branding irons were originally described in A $6 Custom Branding Iron, and there is a tutorial at Making the $6 Branding Iron, Step-by-Step.
Very nicely done !!
I just watched your video. The outside point tip of the inside flame cone is the hottest place in the flame. The inner cone is UNBURNED gas. You are actually cooling the brand by impinging the inner cone on the metal. You should be able to shorten your heating times and save torch fuel by moving the brand out, away from the burner. Good luck. Pine kindles at 475°, flame is about 3100°. Otherwise, an excellent video!

I’m a utility worker here in Kentucky but I have a hobby that I enjoy. I make wood handles and my wife insisted that I start putting some kind of brand stamp on my work. I’m very interested in purchasing a branding iron from you.

Thanks
I’m sorry, Frank — I’m not set up to produce or sell these as a business… basically I don’t have the time for it. I’ll let you know if I end up producing another batch, though — lots of people seem interested.
