I got the Viofo A129 Duo a couple years ago because I seem to keep getting cut off in my little Mazda MX-5 Miata ND (2016+). It’s a ragtop convertible with only one obvious place to mount a rear-facing camera, so I designed this 3D-printable mounting bracket for the wind deflector. I thought I’d share it here in case anyone else is interested… I suppose it could fit other cameras, too, but the angle was designed for the A129 Duo.
The STL is available for free (CC-BY-NC-SA) on thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5200166 — if you like it but don’t have a 3D printer, you might be able to get your local maker or maker space to print it up for you. You can also order one from JLC3DP (JLCPCB’s 3D printing service)… for me global direct line shipping is only $1.50.
Of course, ever since I’ve mounted this camera that dutifully records everything that happens around me, nobody has once tried to cut me off again. I guess I shouldn’t complain, right? haha
